Business terms
Last updated 2026-10-17. These terms apply to anyone who claims, verifies or edits a business listing. They add to the general terms of service.
Who may claim a listing
Only the owner of the business or a person authorised to represent it (a manager, partner or agency acting for the owner) may claim its listing. Claiming a listing you do not represent, or on behalf of a business you have left, is not permitted and leads to removal of the claim and the account.
How verification works
A claim is verified in one of two ways. Connecting the Google account that manages the business's Google Business Profile verifies every matching location at once and shows the Verified badge. Otherwise, you submit a short note with evidence (for example a business email on the listing's domain, a photo of signage, or a phone number that matches) and a member of our team reviews it, usually within 3 working days. We may ask for more evidence and may decline a claim without giving a reason.
What you can change
A verified owner can edit the business name, address, phone number, description and opening hours, hide individual photos, and request removal of the listing. Changes appear on the public page at the next publication, usually the same day. The rating, review count and review text come from Google and cannot be edited here; corrections to reviews must be made on Google.
Your obligations
Information you add must be accurate and must describe the business as it is. Do not add medical or therapeutic claims that you cannot substantiate, prices that are not honoured, content that promotes services illegal where the business operates, or material that infringes someone else's rights. The content guidelines apply to everything you submit. We may revert edits and remove the Verified badge if they break these rules.
Removal and disputes
You can ask for your listing to be removed from your account page. Removal requests are reviewed and the page is taken down with a permanent redirect, usually within 3 working days. If a listing is claimed by someone else and you believe you are the rightful owner, write to [email protected] with evidence and we will review both claims.
Public information
Listing details, photos, ratings and reviews are public information published on Google Business Profiles. SpaSpot reproduces them under that public availability. Claiming a listing does not transfer any rights to SpaSpot, and we may keep showing public information after a claim ends.
Fees
Claiming, verifying and managing a listing is free. Advertising is a separate, paid service described on the advertise page and is never a condition for verification, ranking or the Verified badge.
Ending the agreement
You may delete your account at any time by writing to us. We may end access for breach of these terms. Public listing information remains published after an account closes; edits you made may be kept or reverted.
