Absolutely horrible service and product. I was recommended this place by a current client of Cindy and Tommy, so I thought I would try them out. Tommy removed my grown out Full set from another salon via using an acrylic tip and prying off the current set, it’s uncomfortable but I guess it works. After that was done, he then proceeded to put the tips on doing very little to no prep work, we have now have the tips on, GLUE EVERYWHERE. I’ve said something multiple times about the glue before the filling of the tips began and he did nothing. He kept filing and shaping the acrylic tips until my first finger tip snapped off and he reglued it bent downwards. I’m assuming in his attempt to fix the nails he thought to use way more Glue then imaginable. Finally I was way too uncomfortable and my fingertips were hurting tremendously from the amount of glue, that I offered to stop right then and pay for what work was done. $60. As I was trying to get up and leave his wife hounded me to stay pleading that she could fix what was going on. She did attempt to fix what had happened. And it was fixed until she put the acrylic overlay on the tip and cover my nails. They were entirely too thick and uncomfortable. The design was great, I did say that and I was satisfied with the way they looked. To avoid conflict I told her they were fine the design was great and I’ll go ahead and pay. $90. I paid and left and that was that. Until the following day and The underneath of my nails were glued to my fingernails so much to the point that touching anything was extremely painful. The acrylic overlay was extremely uneven and thick. The following afternoon I visited another nail tech and they straight up said that the monomer; acrylic material is illegal and harmful to anyone’s nails. It took this tech over an hour to soak off the set including having to still use the Dremel multiple times to pull the material off. This was so painful I was wincing and 4 of my fingers started bleeding when the nail was being removed due to it being saturated in glue. I did go back and ask for a refund, she refused and refused then decided to get into a screaming match and her customer stepping in to also scream at my husband and I. If you take anything from this, save your hard earned money and don’t go to a chop shop. I get everyone has to make money, but integrity should mean something and it doesn’t. Also to add; I have a picture of the work,

I have lived in Groton my entire life, and this is not only one of the longest-standing salons in the area, but truly one of the best you will ever find. What sets this salon apart is its consistent excellence in the areas that matter most: customer service, quality of work, fair pricing, and cleanliness. The customer service is exceptional. The team is kind, patient, attentive, and genuinely focused on each client’s needs. They truly treat their customers like family, which makes every visit feel personal and welcoming. I hadn’t been there for some time, yet the owner still remembered me—and even remembered my love for sunflower designs. That level of care and attention made me feel genuinely valued and special, and it speaks volumes about how much they appreciate their clients. They take the time to help you choose the right style, shape, and color, and they are always happy to explain options or offer guidance without any pressure. You never feel rushed or uncomfortable—instead, you feel supported and confident in your decisions. The level of artistry and care that goes into their work is outstanding. The owner’s wife is incredibly talented and able to freehand paint detailed designs with remarkable precision. Whether it’s intricate nail art, gemstones, or a custom design like sunflowers, she truly puts her heart into every set. Every detail is handled with care, and it is clear that they take great pride in what they do. Whether you come in with a specific idea or need help creating a look, they go above and beyond to ensure you leave completely satisfied. Another standout aspect is their pricing. They offer some of the most affordable services in the area without ever compromising on quality. The value you receive is unmatched, especially considering the level of skill, time, and attention given to each client. Equally impressive is their commitment to cleanliness and hygiene. They follow proper sterilization practices and maintain a clean, welcoming environment at all times. From using fresh tools for each client to carefully preparing each station, their attention to detail provides peace of mind and reflects their professionalism. I truly believe that one of the reasons Nails Spa has remained open and successful for so many years is because of the loyalty they have built through word of mouth and the trust they have earned within the community. Many clients, like myself, have come here after searching for a better experience, and Nails Spa consistently delivers. They have stayed true to their values and have worked incredibly hard to maintain a strong reputation that is genuinely cherished by the entire community. No matter who you are or what you’re looking for, this salon has something to offer. Whether you’re a high school student keeping up with the latest trends, someone wanting a detailed, Pinterest-inspired set, a client looking to treat yourself to a relaxing self-care day, or someone who values consistency and has been getting the same classic French manicure for years—this is the place for you. Their creativity, honesty, and integrity are reflected in every service they provide and serve as a reminder of what truly matters in a business. This is a hardworking, family-run business, and the dedication of both the owner and his wife is evident in every aspect of the salon. Their passion, work ethic, and care for their clients truly set them apart. It’s no surprise that they are consistently busy—often booked throughout the day—which speaks volumes about the trust and loyalty they have built within the community. I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for high-quality nail services at the best value in the area, along with a genuinely warm and welcoming experience. Their commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction is unmatched, and I will continue to recommend them to anyone who asks.
